JA Discovery Center
A 16,000 square-foot facility, set to open on the second floor of the Eastwood Mall, is poised to become a cornerstone for youth (grades 4-12) and young adults (ages 18-25). Once fully operational we anticipate serving 10,000 students across public, private, and homeschool sectors, as well as traditional and non-traditional adult learners. The facility will deliver over 220,000 experiential hours annually, fostering a collaborative and enriching learning environment.
This project aligns with regional priorities for education and economic empowerment, serving as a vital resource for building a stronger, more financially aware communities across the Lake to River Region.
JA Biztown - Grades 4-6
Students complete a 12 step in-classroom curriculum and participate in a fully functioning simulated town. They will apply for jobs, manage bank accounts, run businesses, and make real economic decisions. Builds entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and teamwork at just the right age.
JA Finance Park- Grades 7-12
Teenagers complete a 12-step curriculum and then navigate real-life financial scenarios at the center. Including: budgeting, housing, transportation, insurance, and savings. Equips teens with practical money skills and decision-making confidence well before the stakes are real.
